Dahlia Dig and Divide Workshop

$185.00

Join us for an on Farm and in the garden experience.

As a working farm we don’t always a have the availability to hoist workshops or tours so this is a rare opportunity to get up close and see, learn and work with us here at The Love Garden. If you have been wanting to get a peak and have an immersive experience about how we do things here at this is your chance.

At our next workshop we are guiding you on all things digging and dividing dahlias. Dahlias are a mainstay of our summer flowers but not one that is not easy or affordable to build up stock with unless you know how. Dahlia are an unusual plant to propagate. The techniques we use here at the farm will increase your dahlia knowledge. We will be demonstrating how to do this with our own stock so you can practice our methods and (best part) you can take home a collection of finished tubers for your own future flowers. We will cover methods on breeding, multiplying, propagating and storing your tubers for future seasons as well as timings for what to do when your plants start to hatch and tips for encouraging maximum flowers.

Ps we are very generous with our tubers and you will take home 10 or more of your tubers. With additional tuber sales available on the day. Tubers value $18 -25 each. This makes our workshop excellent value.

This course is held on our farm at Natural Bridge (address and ticket link sent upon purchase) we will be working outside so please wear closed in shoes and sun hat. 3 hour duration in this time you will get in lots of practice so you can get confident with the dividing.

Light refreshments and snacks provided. In the effort to foster community please feel welcome to bring a plate or something from your garden to share if you so desire.

Each workshop will begin with a Farm + Garden tour of The Love Garden as well as ample Q&A time to ask us about all things growing flowers.
